Thinking about God for the first time???

People come to this place from all different perspectives. It is a higher plateau than just speculating on man-made philosophy. You are responding to a calling: He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.  Ecclesiastes 3:11.

God has created everything including you. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26.

God has made everything for His plan and His purpose…including you. Perhaps you are thinking, “Maybe those church people, but not me.” Yes, even you!  …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (even those church people). There is no difference in our natural state.

“But God”, the two most hopeful words in all of scripture, says so much. God did not just create you and sit in the heavens waiting to judge you. He has never given up on His commitment to “make man in His image”. Though we have, and we will fall short of God’s plan for us (sin). He has come to rescue His creation. This is the good news!! For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8–9.

So what now? Come learn of God’s love for His creation, His plan for redemption, His calling on our life, and His eternal promise for those that accept His free gift of salvation. I know this is a 30,000 foot fly by, but it is just a starting line for your journey. Perhaps you want to look deeper at this on your own, before coming in on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. The Bible is the place to start. You can download a free app on your phone, or reach out and we will happily give you a free Bible.
